The Saudi AI Spectrum

Nearly everyone in Saudi Arabia now uses AI. This report shows the six very different people behind that number — and where each of them draws the line.

Adoption is settled. Trust is the real story.

Across age, gender, income, region and education, AI use barely moves — it is close to universal. The differences that matter are about trust: how far people will let AI into decisions that are personal, financial, or sacred. On that question, the market splits into six distinct segments.

01 — The six segments

Meet the six.

Each segment is placed by how deeply it has adopted AI (horizontal) and how much it trusts it (vertical). Bubble size is the share of the population. Select any segment for its full profile.

02 — Where trust holds and breaks

Happy with the helper. Wary of the judge.

Comfort is high when AI recommends, plans and simplifies. It falls sharply the moment a task becomes personal, moral or consequential — faith and life decisions sit at the bottom for every segment.

Share comfortable letting AI handle each task (top-2 box).

03 — What worries them

Privacy is the worry that unites everyone.

Concerns differ by segment in degree, not in kind. Data privacy tops the list across the board, followed by over-reliance and jobs.

04 — The jobs question

How likely is AI to reshape or replace your job in 5 years?

Most are not waiting to find out.
05 — One more constant: language

They speak to it in Arabic. It is still learning theirs.

Arabic is the default across every segment. The single most requested improvement, from casual and power users alike, is simply better Arabic.

06 — Methodology

How this study was built.

A single-source survey, segmented on behaviour and attitude — the same rigour Survey Arabia brings to every commissioned study.

Sample

686 Saudi adults, surveyed online in Arabic during June 2026, across all regions of the Kingdom. An online frame skews slightly younger and more connected than the national population.

Segmentation

Six archetypes derived by clustering respondents on their AI behaviour and attitudes — how much they use AI, what for, whether they pay, and how far they trust it across tasks.

Reading the profiles

Adoption and trust are indexed 0–100. Comfort is a 1–5 mean per task. Named individuals are illustrative composites that summarise each group's answer patterns — not real respondents.
